I live in an apartment building and it is infested with silverfish! unfortunately I have little control over temperature and humidity. I know they get in around the radiator pipes but it’s an old building and the holes are there to stay. I keep reading that Bay leaves and cloves will deter them, is this true? traps won’t do me much good as they are all through the building and I’m sure more will come to replace those I’ve killed. I just want them to be deterred from entering my apartment!

One thing I recomend is that you empty your dishwasher frequently. Roaches are attracted to the left over food particles and damp area a dirty dishwasher provides.

I wish I could find out what to use on houseplants. The above remedies may prove toxic to both the critter and the keeper.

Be sure to keep your counters and sinks dry at night because they love humid areas, especially since it’s almost summertime!
