No Fly Zone
Summer pests are flies. Two ways to battle the little devils are fly spray and fly predators. We provided a recipe (below) for organic homemade fly spray. You can also declare biological warfare on flies with fly predators. Fly predators are tiny, completely biteless and stingless wasp‐like insects. They live their entire life cycle on or near manure and eat pest fly pupa, killing the immature flies before they can bother you and your animals or reproduce. You order them just after the last hard frost, and if you start on time, you can prevent flies from ever starting to build up. You will want to avoid spraying your horse with fly spray around manure piles, as you wouldn’t want to harm your new little friends!
