The beauty of this solution to get rid of these common pests is that it is totally non toxic. It is made from two ingredients we eat all the time. The reason it’s deadly to the ants is because ants have formic acid in their systems and it reacts with the baking soda, much like vinegar and baking soda. The combination expands producing large amounts of gas and they explode. It works on almost all ants including fire ants.
Just hand mix 2 parts baking soda with one part powdered sugar so it is well mixed together. Put the mixture in a dish so the ants can crawl into it. When the ants eat the mixture they will pop. It may be a hard way to go but it is quick.
The first step to squirrel control is to decide which kind of squirrel you have. The common gray squirrel makes noise at dusk and at dawn when they enter and exit an attic. The flying squirrel makes noise in the middle of the night, since they are nocturnal animals.
Once the kind of squirrel is determined, there are only two choices: block all holes so the animals can not get into the attic – or trap the animals and remove them.

Chipmunks
Chipmunk is the common name for any small ground dwelling squirrel-like rodent species. They are found in eastern portions of Canada and the United States. Though chipmunks are commonly depicted with their paws up to the mouth, eating peanuts, or more famously their cheeks bulging out on either side, they eat a much more diverse range of foods than just nuts.
Since chipmunks live in the same burrow for several years they are vulnerable to killing them with gas. You can try fumigating the Chipmunks first. Injecting poisonous smoke into the tunnels may kill the pests where they sit or drive them out to be killed on the surface. In either case, the smoke will reveal all the tunnel exits, when you can seal off quickly.
The Exhaust Method: This requires a gasoline powered mower or tiller. Obtain a length of flexible metal exhaust hose from an auto supply store. Make sure it is of sufficient diameter to fit your motor’s exhaust pipe. Start your motor. Expose a main tunnel and insert one end of the hose into it, then tamp soil around it to seal it. Then apply a few drops of oil just inside the other end, put on gloves, and affix this to the motor’s hot exhaust pipe. Allow the motor to idle for 15 to 30 minutes. Quickly seal any tunnel openings that allow smoke to escape. The carbon monoxide should kill any Chipmunks trapped below. » more Fumigate the Chipmunk in its Hole

Ants can also damage plants by tunneling around the roots, causing them to dry out.
Some ant species live in colonies that are supported by a single queen while others are supported by multiple queens. Although there are thousands of different ant species, there are relatively few that we commonly see as pests. These include: » more Ants Control
